Friends of mine use a well known restaurant in Kusadasi Centrum quite often. They go there from the start of each season through to when it closes for the winter. They have always been treated well and the staff know them. They went to this restuarant a couple of days ago, they looked at the menu and the prices had more than doubled, a meal that would normally cost them about 17ytl each had suddenly gone up to 40ytl! They were going to be charged for the main meal and things like chips, salad and rice were going to be charged as extras. A chicken shnitzel meal came to 40ytl! They said to the waiter that this was very expensive and they would not be ordering any food, but they did order drinks. 5 mins later the manager came over to the table, removed the menu and the ashtrays and asked them both to leave. When they asked why, they were told that they were not allowed to sit there and order only drinks as they are a restaurant (even though they have huge signs outside bragging about the price of thier Efes). The manager told them he wanted the table for customers who wanted to eat meals. This couple then went somewhere else to eat and on the way home had to walk past the aforementioned restaurant who started hasseling them to come in for a drink. These friends have spent a lot of money in this restaurant in the past and feel they have tried to totally rip them off. Stupid really as these people will tell everyone about what happened and the name of the restuarant. Pure greed, as these type of 'tourist' restuarant are more than glad of the custom in April and September.

Need I say more. I personally have never eaten there, never wanted to and never ever will. Pure pure greed.

Nice clue! I would never eat there anyway, loathe the place, maybe they are trying to get back in the black after being closed down and paying fines for hassling.
