Re: On my own

Hi Ann

Pity you'll not be feeling very well as there is a "night out" on the 7th.

I work at Dejazar Wine Bar facing the Marina, so please feel free to call in anytime.

Ian

I do not know how you have come to a conclusion that I am going to be miserable or conceive that I would be poor company. I found your post to be condescending and derogatory as you have never met me never spoke to me and do not know me. My post was only to ask if anyone else was in Kusadasi at the same time as me as I would be alone for 3 weeks in Turkey. I am not a desperate old woman looking for a Turkish toy boy and that comment was even more condescending than the other. All I would like is some company.

Ian what the hells wrong with you, haven't you
got any consideration in you at all.
For one of the longest serving members i thought
you would have known better than to say that.

It was a fair question and this lady needs abit of company, if i were
there i wouldn't hesitate to go and chat over a cup of coffee and
offer her some support.

Maybe you should re-read the Forum rules No1.

1- The 1st rule is to show respect for all members. If you do not agree with a fellow member, be courteous in your response. If you do not address fellow members on the board with respect, be prepared to lose your membership forthwith.

Anne good luck your a brave lass, i hope it all turns out well for you.

Well said Andy although I think he might of made it in jest.

Ann: I will be in Guzelcamli around that time, not quite Kusadasi but you can send me a pm if you would like to come to ours for a cuppa......and I stress cuppa cos I'm notoriously kitchen-shy.

I don't think Immac meant any harm by that post. We can all be guilty of making a flippant comment that would have been better left unsaid.

Maria

You must be the only Irish woman who is kitchen shy.

Re: On my own

Martyn,

I blame it on the schoolteachers. In one class they were teaching us about the law of gravity, holding something in the air and letting it fall. In another they were telling us to mix ingredients until they reached a dropping consistency and demonstrated the dropping consistency by holding something on a spoon and tipping it sideways so the stuff fell off. The gravity demonstation made more sense to my young mind so after that I switched off in cookery class.
