We've bought in Kusadasi
Hi everyone.
We've been very busy workin our socks off to earn some dough for the holiday. We had a fab time although the hotel was VERY BASIC. At first we were put off by the constant hassle from people trying to sell us anything from shoe shine to houses and guys on scooters following us to get us to go to their resteraunts. Everyone in the hotel felt the same, but the shop workers are mostly on commision only and desperate to earn, so we understood their persistance.
Anyway, after spending some time with a few estate agents, of which there are hundreds, most selling the same properties at different prices, we found a fabulous agent. They offer no bulls..t, just facts and are not at all pushy. In fact we had to ask to see a few properties. We bought a new build with fabulous sea views near long beach. It will include security gate with swipe card to site, the 3rd biggest pool in Kusadasi, on site shop, huge tarrace with BBQ, 2 balconies, 3 bedrooms, 3 levels, American style kitchen, etc, etc. We are exstatic. The views are awsome and can't get built out. I am not able to buy outright, so the stage payments on this (very unusual in Turkey) enabled me to buy.
The Turkish people are so friendly, and we had a fab welcome and some seriously late nights (mornings).
We can't wait to get back out there in September to have a look at the progress and meet up with our new friends.
All the best.
Adrian.

The total price including all legal fees, etc is 65,000 euro. I am paying 10,000 deposit, then in a couple of months 20,000, then another 20,000 and the final payment on completion next April, which is when all properties on the site are finished inc pool, shop, landscaping, roads, etc. We all get our TAPU's at time of completion.
The agents (Pam and Annie) are English, but have lived in Kusadai 17 years and 12 years. Pam is married to a very quiet and polite Turkish gentleman called Ersin.
We had a fab time with them and met up for several very late nights, in which we sampled a little of the local red wine (fantastic stuff). Don't worry, I was sober when I signed for the house, although I may have been a bit hungover!
We met several other British customers who have bought, some just getting their Tapu and keys while we were in the office. They all have fabulous things to say about Pam and Annie who help all the way through to buying furniture and moving in!
Adrian.
