Re: Those hideous tower blocks

I have heard so many conflicting stories about those tower blocks, they are truly blots on the landscape. One is that they were built on a fault line, another that they were not given permission for the number of floors which they have, yet another is that they are co-op buildings and the co-ops have run out of money ....... they do seem to be very slowly progressing, last time I noticed that there were some stairwells installed.

First of all, thank god that these tower blocks aren't actually in the town itself but a good 8kms outside.

This complex "Uydukent" was built outside the original plans...something like 7 floors higher!

There has been new work started on them but it doesn't look it's continuing; it's at Court apparently.

Kusadasi does have a few tremors now and again so personall speaking I wouldn't like to be on the 12th floor when there was a strong one....I know what it feels like being on the 4th floor

Lots of people have theır "membership" of this co-operative up for sale; pricing differs from person to person. I would imagine that monthly co-op fees will still apply to the new owners plus no one know when it will be finished.
