Bank Rate
Hi,
Does anyone know what the current rate is to convert from sterling?
I am going to deposit some money into my TL account, but not sure wether to convert it here at a rate of today at 2.37 Tl (no charges)or to give the Bank Manager the sterling to convert, but do not know if he will charge for doing that. Even if he does charge, could it be that i would get a better rate?
Any help much appreciated.
Cheers
Lorraine

Re: Bank Rate
You should never perform a currency transaction Lorraine when the banks are closed.
The rates for out of hours exchanges will always be quoted far less as a hedge against the rate opening wildly lower on the next days business trading.
Here is the link for the Central Bank of Turkey where you will be able to compare market exchange rates tomorrow morning. www.tcmb.gov.tr
