Davutlar
Hello,
I noticed somebody of this forum lives in Davutlar , just one question : do you know a well-known restaurant there ? You can sit outside as well, there is a big garden and there are goose in the the garden...
It's a rather big place.... the food is very good, very good meze, the white wine was also very good (I think they have their own wine, but I'm not sure of that), and the service is excellent
I was there last spring together with a Turkish friend of mine, we had such a good time there , I would like to know the name of the restaurant. There were only Turkish people in, I saw no tourist's
(oh and yes : in the entrance, there a one or two cages with birds, I think also a parrot....)
Does that ring a bell ?
I hope to go back there sometimes (maybe with that friend of .....)

Re: Davutlar
Wonder is it Cineralti, on the right hand side of the road travelling from Kusadasi to Davutlar, just before a dangerous bend?

Hi Guz (or maybe güzel),
You might be right there, it is in a curve, and indeed on the right side of the road when coming from Kusadasi, and I also remember there is a guard sitting in front , kind of looking after your car.
Don't know if there is any dangerous curve later on, as we drove back to Kusadasi afterwards....
Have you ever been there ???

Re: Davutlar
Hi Sparrow,
Yes, I have been to Cineralti. It has a huge 400 year old tree in the grounds. Prefer to sit indoors because they have lovely big round tables with comfortable dining chairs. They roast the meat on a spit outdoors. They had done some renovation work last year and it doesn't have the same Turkish atmosphere indoors. Think there may have been staff changes too because the food wasn't so good and it is very pricey by Turkish standards, though they still had very nice wine.
Maria.

Re: Davutlar
Hi Guz,
Pitty they changed the interior, well they tend to do that all the time in Turkey.
Have you ever known the Asansör Bar ? Bit outside Kusadisi, with a nice view over the sea , they played life Turkish music, well, that also changed complety.
You are right about the prices in Cineralti, well, I didn't have to pay the bill, but my Turkish friend looked a bit worried..... hèhè
Nice to know you also know the place, gives me a good feeling, really
thanks !!!

Hi Sparrow, I think you are speaking of Degirmen, which is across the road Cineralti. Degirmen sits on a hill, and has the petting zoo for kids. In which is my favorite restraunt in Davultar, they also provide a shuttle service during the season, I highly recommend thier services. If you decide to go and have children go before sunset and walk through the farm. I think all will enjoy.

I don't have any children to walk through the farm Dan, but thanks for the suggestion, I'm glad you do like the restaurant as well and also glad they didn't change the interior

Re: Davutlar
I wondered what that place was. Have seen lots of people going in there and thought it was some kind of holiday resort. Will check it out next summer. Don't bother going to Cineralti anymore because prices have increased too much and there isn't all that much variety in the food.

Re: Davutlar
I agree, any restaurant that does not adequate sanitation in there W.C. provides indications of sanitation in there food prep areas.
