Question Dentists In Kusadasi

Over the last few months iv'e had work done
to repair a broken tooth the Dentist has built
a base on the stub of the old tooth and is going
to put a porcelin cap on it.

The total bill for all this is £518 which i found to
be a bit expensive, i was told the new build for the
cap is £203 which i will have to pay leaving £315
for the cap.

I emailed a Dentist in Alanya to get a price for the
cap and she replied 200 euro's but will take up to
2 weeks to get made & to have fitted.

I found another Dentist on this Forum from Kusadasi
named Fuat he emailed me back immediatly (maybe
he's short of work who knows). He said it would have
cost £75 for all the work plus cap and will take 1 week.
Can this be right it just sounds too cheap, has anyone
used Fuat before.

So now i'm in a dilemma do i go to Turkey have the
work done by Fuat and take a holiday at the same
time or pay through the nose getting it done in the UK.

Does anyone know of a good reasonable
place i can stay at for 8 days.

Would appreciate any help or advice.

I used Fuat last year because i had a tooth broken. He drilled it down then crowned it.Total cost was 170 tl.He was very good but when hubby needed one he was recommended one on the sea front. He had the tooth drilled down then rebuilt while all the time the dentist took photos of his work and showed them to hubby on the computer by the chair.Nice touch i thought.Total cost after one and a half hours in the chair was about 60 tl.If you need work done here is the place to be .Good luck.

Andy

my UK dentist does a ceramic alternative - all computer modelled and laser cut - about £300 for a new tooth. They are indistinguishable from the real thing.

By the time you have paid for flights it could work out the same

pm me for details if you want to know more

ps when are you going to Kus?

Hi Andy,
I went to a dentist in Kusadasi whilst I was there in May, & was quoted £680
for a bridge & 4 porcelain veneers, thought this was expensive until I came
home & phoned round a few dentists, And was told it would it would cost £500 for just 1 porcelain veneer.... Guess where i am going in July ?

Surely you can come up with a better excuse than "the dentist"

Our apt might be free if we aren't using it, depends when you are going Andy.

Be careful before you have anything really invasive done such as dental implants - I am receiving treatment from the Prof. head of Guys and St. Thomas Dental School who has told me horror stories about implants done abroad that have gone wrong, infected and disintegrating jaws, and the hospital can't help even if they wanted to because they use completely different implant systems.

Professor Palmer he's on the 21st floor of the new tower at Guys Hospital, London Bridge. I don't suppose there would be any great problem with more routine dental treatment. Are you considering treatment?
