a couple of weeks ago my parents payed us a surprise visit whilst we were staying at our apartment in ladies beach,we all love fresh fish and as it was their first visit with us i suggested we had lunch at one of the restaurants in kus' by the fish market, they chose the one that actually sticks out into the harbour ?,we had a fantastic fish platter for 4,dont get me wrong it WAS superb,but,on recieving the bill the total amount to pay was written on the back,but just by chance my dad turned the bill over only to see that a service charge had been added, [10 per cent] cheeky i thought but we would have left that anyway,what i did object to was that the waiter counted the money out in front of us and then looked at us and said,,,,, no tip ??? i am sorry but i dont agree with that behaviour cruise ships in port or not! this also happened at the kiwi restaurant ladies beach.so watch out.

I had pizza & chips at 'La Villa' in Turgutreis and was charged 7YTL for the tiny portion of chips and then they added 10% service charge. I had just been overcharged on the Dolmus and later at the Hotel Baba in Gumbet the waiter got very annoyed when I pointed out that he hadn't given me any change for a previous drink! (It took over 15 minutes to sort that one out).

Luckily this isn't typical and it was one of those bad days that you have sometimes.
