Summer season in Turkey

Hi everyone,

New to this site and so far it looks very good! I'm thinking about a termporary move to Turkey. I have friends who will be working over there for a UK company, however I'd like to be a little more independent than that and have been looking into renting an apartment and possibly working depending on the visa requirements. I would appreciate any information you can give or websites which have been helpful. Thanks Kitty

Hi Kitty, welcome to the forum. working in Turkey is not easy, I have found this link in the Fethiye Times it also leads to other Gov links regards working in Turkey. Best of luck

If you don't have Turkish Residence you will need to get your work permit in the country you reside in. So, if you come to Turkey on a tourist visa and want to apply for a permit you will need to go back to London (if you come from the UK) to collect it. You will then need to apply for residence and pay the relevant fees.

As long as there is enough time remaining on a 3 month holiday visa, the work permit, should it be issued, can be collected from the Emniyet without having to go back to the UK...
