Yes George we are planning on living in Turkey, we can't go though until all of our kids have left home, 1 down and 2 to go lol. We have got a villa with an apartment on the ground floor so we are planning on renting out the apartment and that is about it. We have planned well for an early retirement so all being well we will have a lovely life over in Turkey. We have got a good pension which is also very helpful as it wouldn't go very far over here but in Turkey it is plenty.

Yep I too am planning to get out there in maybe 5 years time, again a similar situation to gail , need to see two girls through uni, 1 starts this year, the other next year. I understand that you need to show that you have a regular income though for residency. We are having a detached house built that maybe our semi-retirement home, and the 1 we have at present will be an investment for our two girls I guess.

Oooh a subject close to my heart
Well if you are sensible, you plan and decide where you are going to earn an income from, what your expenses are going to be etc etc.I moved out here in May after bidding my time for 15 years [8D]As soon as the sproggets were old enough, I went. Initally I coughed up for a deposit on a restaurant(Mushtaq knows about Deli Inekler) but unfortuantely the nice turkish man thought my money would be happier in his pocket. Yes, it was a minor hiccup but I was luckily enough to realize that I had nothing to lose by moving out here anyway and plenty to lose by staying in the UK to be milked by Tony and his cronies.
The house went on the market and sold in two days. The transfer took a little longer but seven weeks later, I had relocated the sprogs, packed what I wanted to ship and my bank account was looking decidely healthy
On a cold wet May night, I flew out of Gatwick and landed in brilliant sunshine at Dalaman.Lots has happened along the way and all of it good.Nothing on earth would posses me to move back to the UK. I have finally come home.[8D]

Wish it was as easy as one step
Still have a teenager at school and wouldn't want to disturb her education now.
So, sadly it's still at the dreaming stage for us.
