Just note that Merlin's post was made in June 2005 and many prices have changed since then.

Sorry if this has been covered as I am pushed for time to read the whole thread but bear in mind the cost of routine visits to the doctor. I went for a quick consultation and the doc did not come within a metre. My BP was checked by a nurse and a prescription handed over. 60YTL for the doc and just under 20 for the drug. In the UK my doctor would have asked me a few more questions and examined me at least!!!
