Unhappy Woolie jumpers - time to get them out!

According to the news tonight the whole of Turkey (with the exception of Antalya as usual ) is bracing itself for a cold snap starting tomorrow.

We have heard of 'old wives tales' here is the 'Turkish old mens tale' (from the bar!)

The furry apple things (not sure of the name) have bloomed and cropped early and now to expect really really cold weather. We will see. (Fethiye)

Heavy downpours head for Turkey....

Temperatures will decrease by eight to 10 degrees Celsius throughout the country over the weekend, with cold and rainy weather heading for Turkey, said the Meteorological Directorate yesterday.

The wet weather front would affect in eastern Marmara region, the Black Sea and Eastern Anatolian regions, the bureau said.

The meteorology bureau also warned that on the weekend, heavy rainfalls, drops in temperatures and strong winds could lead to flooding, landslides and icing on the roads.
