Keeping a UK Building Society account running such as the Nationwide (they dont charge for cash withdrawals from Turkish ATMs), gives you access to credit card facilities which although available to ex-pats from Turkish Banks, often require an equal amount deposit (without interest) to cover any credit limit on your Turkish Credit Card.

All you need do is notify you Card Company of a change of address before you move here (if you have sold your property use a trusted relative or friends address).
