Re: Living in Sartur/Mavisure

Hi Sartur is just down the rd from Temple at top of town it is a little village (just before Aqua Park) with its own beech mainly turks there but they are so very nice and so helpfull. We have only stayed in Altikum the once but have been to several Turkish resorts, and to honest Altikum was'nt our most favourite I think it may be a victim of its own sucess and is getting to over developed but some of the small villages just outside are fab you can buy a large or small house for the price of a faceless apartment in Altikum. Anyhow last year I was told was the first all trading all year for the town so yeh shops etc all as here, apparently Xmas was fab all brit tastes catered for there is a local brit paper the Diddyman somebody on here may web address. Where are you looking to buy?

Hi Phil and welcome. You lucky things, I am desperate to move over to Turkey permanently but we can't go yet because we have still got a couple of kids at home, once they fly the nest we will be there It would be brilliant if you could tell us all about your move as it happens as there are a couple of us on here who are really nosey

Welcome Phil and family.
My old house is in Tek Ev Sitesi - near the entrance to Club Tarhan - not far from you.
You're right it's a lovely area- close enough to town to get there when you want but far enough out for peace and quiet.
There are a few other Brits around there.I know of 2 couples about your age one near Huzur Sitesi and one near Vettur.
