Smile Home truths

You must all be getting fed up with me picking your brains but i am just being curious as to what you all miss about England,anything it might only be a bottle of h p sauce or your favourite ale ,i would like some sort of reply even if you think it is stupid ,what the hell be a bit stupid sometimes you realise the little things that you dont usually think about.
By the way i think this site is brilliant

I found that I missed things that I never bothered with in the UK. I think it what I call the "cupboard syndrome". We all had stand-bys in our cupboards back there and once I get them here I don't crave anymore.
I went mad for peanut butter and Red leicester cheese but now it is there I don't eat it.
And if anyone in Fethiye wants Marmite just e mail me I have enough for a third world country.

Never thought of marmite, but yes i'll have some, great in casseroles. what do I miss..CADBURY'S CREAM EGGS!!!!!

Being able to speak the same language (well in some parts of the u.k.!) Draught Guinness
Cheaper petrol!!
Proper Pubs
Health+fitness clubs
Cheap flights out of the country
Having a variety of Resturants (Proper Indian, Chinese, Italian ect)
Pork
Central heating in the winter
Banks that don't charge ridiculous amounts for transfering money to a bank in the same town!
Asda and Tescos
Cheap ISP's (cost is due to rise by almost 100% on the 15th of this mth)
Good roads, pavements, streetlamps and drainage.
Trading standards organisation

Just to name a few, you did ask!

How long have you been here ?

What do I miss ? Not a lot after all these years- just my mates and my Mum,Marmite and being able to buy bras that fit !!!
Do any other ladies out there have problems with their bras ?

Yes bras and shoes! Bras that dont look or feel like hammocks! and shoes!!!! I have a uk size 9-10 so not a chance of finding any shoes in Turkey for ladies that size!! and of course CADBURYS!!!!
Ohterwise I am quite content.

The Cadburys brand is distributed in Turkey by Kent.

Well they do sell the packets of mini eggs and not shown on there is the 1kg boxes of Cadburys miniatures.

In and around Fethiye, you are bound to see the Kent delivery van (red coloured transit with the Kent logo emblazened on the fron t and sides) visiting small shops. Approach the driver and explain you want to buy some cartons direct from him and not through a shop - they will more than happily let you browse their on-board stocks and for any sale raise a cash invoice.
