Hi,
Unless I have missed it LOL, may I enquire whereabouts members who have bought property in Turkey, have chosen.
I and my wife, Sue have bought a villa at the end of Calis Beach, which is nr Fethiye.
Having only visited Bodrum, Marmaris on day trips from...over the water, we were suitably impressed to spend a weeks holiday in Icmeler, last year. Just after we visited Side for a week, before going on to Fethiye in search of a place to buy to use as a base to further explore this lovely country.
Maybe later I will visit Altinkum, Kusadasi and more and explore the areas where a lot of members have bought properties.

Ours is just a base for now, (I'll let you into a secret, we bought two) one to let and one to escape to, whilst letting the UK house out. LOL

What a great idea Terry, I think we will now call you Terry Property Tycoon lol When we move over there to live our plan is to buy another place. We would like to do it now but can't afford to so by the time we get over there the property prices will have gone up by I don't know how much. You have got in at the right time Terry, good move.

Tarabya, Istanbul. green forests overlooking the bosphorus. we have a house with various fruit trees. currently pears and apricots I get dropping on me now. My favorite place in the south is kalkan and datca but personally I think bodrum, marmaris and fethiye have gone the same way as benidorm and too over commercial. But I do like old Turgutreis but havent been there since greece and turkey nearly came to war over the kardak islands back in '96. I wonder if those 2 goats still hang out there?

we have purchase a property about 6 miles outside altinkum and will be having a detached house built in mart sitisi which is about 5 mins from altinkum

Sounds like another lovely property you have there, congrats on your purchase. We did the furnishing part in March so will (hopefully), get the relaxing trip next visit. Which, like you is in Sept.
Pics of properties I guess would be a nice addition, or/and of your area where yourselves and other members have bought.
