Moped Wanted

Hi, I am looking for a 125 cc moped or motorbike for sale in the Bodrum Area. I am back in Bodrum mid October, so let me know of if you have one or know where I can get hold of something in good condition and reasonably priced.

Cheers

Chris

Re: Moped Wanted

My sister has just bought an electric scooter,no tax,no numberplate,no licence needed as it is considered as a bicycle as it has pedals as well.
Range of about 40kms on one charge(4hrs) and a speed of about 35kph.
Price 1000 YTL.

Might consider getting one as well later.

They were readily available in Koycegiz and I think the overnight charge costs
'pennies' (about 8p in the Uk but electricity is cheaper in Turkey)One person we spoke to in Koycegiz said she only charged her scooter once a week and had enough range for running around.

Yes they are a good idea as there is no paperwork involved and they are classed as a bicycle.

Re: Electric Scooter

I work with and supply electric vehicles the charging costs are very low,the main thing to watch for is your charging regime and here is some simple advice.
1/charge after every use and make sure the charger finishes its charge cycle plugging in and charging for short periods will reset the memory on the batteries.
2/if you are not a regular user make sure yo charge at least once a week.
3/do not under any circumstances let the batteries go completley flat, you will not be able to recharge .the charging range for the type of batteries used on these vehicles is between 8volt and 13 volts if the batteries are left to fall below these thresholds you will end up buying a new set of batteries.

Re: Electric Scooter

This looks good, I'm just working out if I can get hubbby, one large dog, two gas bottles, a weeks shopping, three large water bottles, a spade and a plank on it. I think this is probably OK, may even be room for a spade and a couple of tins of paint.
