Peer-to-Peer Lending?

Has anyone looked into P2P Lending with a company such as Funding Circle as a way of earning a decent return - any experiences/views?

What is peer-to-peer (P2P) lending?

Grow your savings and get great rates with peer-to-peer lending

Re: Peer-to-Peer Lending?

Strangely enough I was having a conversation the other day about something like this, but with the amount of businesses going bust at the minute and no protection on your money decided it wasn't worth the risk, yes they do the credit checking but........

I think though that after living here a while I am now suspicious of everything and everybody, so my opinion may be a little jaded

Good Luck if you decide to try it out

Re: Peer-to-Peer Lending?

I have some in Zopa. Not just business lending. Rates have dropped over last year for new cash going in.

Re: Peer-to-Peer Lending?

I'm also in Zopa

Returns are not excellent but they are above average and I've never had a bad debt.
They've very recently come up with a new scheme to ensure your funds are guaranteed, at the expense of a lower rate.
