eBay...foolish buyers!

What are people thinking these days.. eBay

I put a user manual on for auction. The first 2 words in the item title are `user manual`
The image of the item has `user manual` sprawled across it.
Within the description it states `user manual` twice.
It also states it is a photocopy.
It states that this auction does not include an electrical item.

So this guy wins the bid, decides not to pay for it and leaves me a negative feedback stating ďAnother con seller unless you read itĒ

I give up with some people, blame me because he didnít read it. Anyhow eBay have taken the neg out and put a non payment strike against them.

Putting ebay aside this is what I feel is happening to often these days in all walks of life, I am wrong so blame someone else! From government down.

Re: eBay...foolish buyers!

I sold a mobile phone that wouldn't work. The description stated quite that it was broken and that an attempt had made to repair it without success.

Somebody bought it and wanted a refund because they couldn't repair it. They started a grievance against me (they lost).

Re: eBay...foolish buyers!

Ever had that feeling that sometimes you just can't seem to win even when stating the obvious.

But anyway, thanks for the reminder, as I need to go back and leave a positive comment for our Chinese friends for my new laptop battery that arrived today (£20.00) which is about a week before the expected due date, not to mention that so far has also lasted 1 hour and still showing about 1.5 hours still to run, my original battery only seemed to last for a bout 40 minutes and that was from when it was new, although TBH I don't know why I bother as I never use it on battery, because although it's a laptop it's just too big to carry around just for occasional use.
Maybe I should just use it this time without the battery installed so not to knacker this one up with it being permanently on-charge.

The same battery direct from ASUS is roughly £65.

Re: eBay...foolish buyers!

I recently sold an item of china which clearly stated collection only. The winning bid came from Kent and they turned really nasty when I refused to post the item out. Why don't people read item descriptions or in order words.

As for my above comment of good service etc.

A few days after posting the above the battery packed in (lasted just 2 weeks) and was returned, however, 'eventually' the seller acknowledged receipt etc and regardless of many emails I never received a replacement or a my money back.

But the problem was though, by this time ebay's 45 day rule had lapsed and they would not do anything to help.

So also a warning to anyone who sees a seller going by the name of 'CIVITEK' 'Don't bother as you have now been warned.
Although I should have known better as his/their feedback was fairly poor as far as customer satisfaction was concerned.

*************
Then again, I had a request from someone who I gave a Neutral feedback to, because initially they only sent half my order, asked for details of the packaging which I had already stated I no longer had and also had to email them twice for a update.
Now I ask you, did that deserve a neutral reply or not, although I was in the process of replying to the neutral change reply to explain why I gave such a reply when I hit the enter button which must have thought I had finished and cut me out and I never got around to looking to see what may of been re-posted.

So fro now onwards, sellers are not being given the benefit of the doubt if they do not have more than a 95% rating, which now means I will be shopping elsewhere.

Unless of course you take it abroad as you now have to be able to power it up.

Not if I was brave enough to put it in with my hold baggage, because then it doesn't matter.

Although I suppose I may need to get another battery at some time just in case I ever did want to take and use it elsewhere for a short time.
(At the moment my original battery only lasts about 15 minutes, but because of the fast power drain I don't always get the low battery warning and it will just shut down without any notice and I lose anything I was working on)

Re: eBay...foolish buyers!

Thats the problem I now have as the one I take abroad has zilch battery life its totally dead, was not concerned as I just used of mains, but now I may need to risk hold luggage as I dont want to buy a battery for the few weeks I use it abroad.
