I was wondering how you got on in Florida with all those hurricanes. I am not in Altinkum but I know one company in Fethiye charges on a 2 package option.

£150 per annum gives one full clean of the place each year (inc sheets and towels) and regular checks when the place is empty.

£300 per annum gives 5 cleans per annum, regular checks and bill paying, keeping phone working etc.

We are paying bills via the bank, have you enquired about that?

Florida was great even though our flight was cancelled that day but we flew to Atlanta and stayed there for 4 nights and did all my christmas shopping there so when the bad weather left Florida we drove (all 13 of us) there and never encountered any bad weather at all as a matter of fact it was beautiful. We never even saw any houses with their roofs blown off or any trees down. The villa we stayed in was out of this world and the kids had a ball.

How easy was it for you to set up standing orders for bills etc?
Am I right in thinking that you don't need property management by doing this - only a cleaning service?
Or do you still have someone doing regular checks of your villa?

Anne - just about everything can be set up as direct debits from your bank account, water, electricity etc. The only annoying thing we've found is that banks seem to have a problem with one-off annual payments for insurance & DASK. This has to be done manually as and when it is due. All in all, not that much different from how you would do things in the UK.

I think we're lucky with cleaning, got a wee Turkish Mrs Mopp who comes in as and when needed and cleans the place from top to bottom for 40Mil!

Hiya Guys heard some worrying news today that "Golden Sun Homes" are being sued by a couple becuase their apartment has been soaked through and the place has lots of mould growing on the walls? Goldeb Sun has stated its not their fault its because of the condensation moisture from the a/con units????? Plus on the site Golden Sun put a swimming pool at no cost to the tenants???? Now all tenants have recieved demands for £450 maintenance charges??? Anyway they are being sued thats as much as they would say.. Good luck to them! I'm sure we will see & hear more & more of these cases as owners return this year or next after the winters & earthquakes reveal shoddy workmanship! I hope I'm wrong and have yet to see our place?????? I'm on my knees..lol.. Just thought you should be aware?
