Talking Gigolo list - read and heed!

For a great 'public service' article about the foreign residents of Marmaris who are fed up with gigolos and inflated prices, read the FethiyeTimes article of March 10. All coastal area residents should make a gigolo list to help many poor souls save their money!

And thus we have mob rule. A few questions.

How can anyone of the people listed on there refute or defend their name?
Who runs the lists ? How partisan are they ?
What happens if they are listed because of a "vendetta" ?
What happens to the bars/restaraunts where those listed work ? Do they lose trade, thus having to fire those listed ?

I agree with Brownbear, but go further: if women want gigolos, let them have them.

This sort of pressure is very British and springs from the small-minded attitudes of people trying to re-create Little Britain in a foreign land.

The issue of inflated prices for foreigners is another matter. I find this practice very irritating.

The question comes round to - do Turkish women pay the same for their gigolos, or is there a dual-pricing policy?

Let me know when you get the answer to that question.

I need to know whether I've got to adjust my rates to become more competitive !

Should I start a BOGGOF campaign?

I had to look it up - I thought a gigolo was one of those boats with pedals - could not work out what all the fuss was about!

Believe it or not someone once started a gallery of shame on MSN groups for identifying these guys. There is also a Loverat group (or 2). As the group got bigger and the Turks got wise to it all hell broke out with messages been posted in broken English by indignant and of course İNNOCENT 'rats'.

Putting humour aside though there have been so many shocking tales of ladies been seperated from their wealth or left with huge debts when they didn't have any wealth to extract of their own İ think it is bad for tourism. Getting some Nike trainers and a new mobile might be enough for many toyboys keeping an older lady pleasured but some of these guys are professional con-artists who will bide their time for years before they make their well planned move.

Well, lets see, if a 60+ year old with more wrinkles than an elephant honestly believes that a 25 year old turkish guy has fallen deeply in love with her I should call the efes police as she's had one to many!

Come on, these guys aren't con artists, they are so bleedin' obvious its like a wet fish hitting you in the face.

The only 'con' going on in is in these deluded womens brains. No one with a smidgeon of brains is goin' to believe the spool these guys come out of.

Lets take it in another context. My aunt and uncle lived a long long time in Saudie.

They told me many tales of the single english and american guys who had thai or fillipino maids who ended up betrothed to the blood sucking leaches after a while and the same thing happened.

The guys were middle aged or older, single, fat, bald and wanted to believe that these lovely waif like far eastern women with shiny black hair that fell to their waist who were just out of their teens fell in love with them for any other reason than their nice big fat bank accounts.

And yes I know I am going to get a lot of flack for this one.

I would agree that Brownbear has a very valid point, think with your heads not lower down. We men are accused of it all the time.

If you're holiday romance wants a new pair of Nike then you might decide to buy them, if he wants a house or a £2,000 loan forget it. Would you pick up a guy in a bar in the UK and 2 weeks later lend him 2k or buy your house in his name, I doubt it.
