Thinking of dirty weekend in Icmeler
Now that i have your attention, I am thinking about going to Icmeler for a weekend break next week- can anyone one recommend a very very good hotel , Four Seasons type not Aunt Dollies Beach Hotel.
I dont want to stay in Marmaris.
The hotel must NOT do Krapiote, bingo, etc but be more upmarket, probably a german focused one might be better.
thanks
Dippz

Re: Thinking of dirty weekend in Icmeler
I wonder Dippey, what do you mean by a "German Focused hotel " ?
I once stayed at Mares Marmaris, and I enjoyed it, there were some Germans in the hotel, but it was about 4 years ago
It's a nice one, not really in the center, somewhere between Içmeler and Marmaris..... they have a private beach where you sit, also under the shade of the trees and those pontons where you can sit in the sea
It is from the divan chain, the Taylya hotel in Antalya is from the same group
have a look at the website : http://www.divan.com.tr/hotel/default.asp?sxx=0
(just type : www. divan. com. tr and then choose the one you like)

You can come to Kaya Koyu for a dirty weekend !
You can help me change the oil and re-line the brakes on my truck.

It's one where you get up a five in the morning,to bag a sunbed and don't get upset when they jump the queue.

Re: Thinking of dirty weekend in Icmeler
there are a few classy hotels in Icmeler - Marti resort, L'etoile, Laguna and Aqua, all by the beach or almost and 4/5 star hotels. Id say these would be your best options if you want to be in central Icmeler.

Re: Thinking of dirty weekend in Icmeler
Thanks Civciv and Sparrow, had a wonderful time. Not quite the dirty weekend I planned, just chilled and chilled and chilled, even managed to leave an impression on someone.
Recommend city/town breaks to anyone, nice to have a change of scenery.
If you ever go to a fish market/restaurant i seriously recommend the John Dory fish, it may look as ugly as John Prescott but its really really tasty.
Debating on next dirty weekend now.
