Re: What clothing to wear in February??
Hi Joan, as Shirley Ann says: Don't forget some thick socks. We were in Bodrum in December and I had to go and buy some which was a bit difficult as I didn't really want Barbie pink. In the end I compromised: Black with a purple streak up the side!!! The next purchase was a pair of slippers. I had been wearing thin-soled sandals in the house, but they were too cold in December. I needed thicker soles and the only ones I could get were dark blue felt with sparkly red hearts on them. But at least I had warm feet!!!
Last year in February I was very glad of a thick polo-neck sweater and a quilted waistcoat. However, things can change on an hourly basis. As soon as the sun comes out, it warms up the air.
Enjoy your three-week stay.

Re: What clothing to wear in February??
Go for layers. I've got several of those thin role kneck sweater out there that you can tuck in your jeans and put a fleece on top, alternatively you can wear them on thier own if its warm enough in the day.
Wellies are an added bonus if you can get them in your size.

Re: What clothing to wear in February??
Many thanks for your quick replies. I have packed an electric blanket, and have brought sheepskin lined slippers. No wellies, hate them so will travel in my walking boots and thick socks, in fact most of my winter camping clothing!! Already have the summer items plus fleece jkt in apartment, just dreading the shower in a cold top floor apartment.
Guess a Hot Toddy will be acceptable!!! (any excuse will do)
Once again thanks for your help.
Joan

Can't see you having any problems once armed with the Hot Toddy. Excellent idea and one we reguarly partake of when in freezing Yali in winter!

Re: What clothing to wear in February??
Lunnie, I think us visitors from the UK find it warmer than those who live there all the time. I was there in February last year and although it was cool at night and we obviously needed heating on and blankets on the bed we weren't freezing. I didn't need the fleeces and thick trousers that I took with me. As someone mentioned if the sun is out it is quite warm and we spent some time on the beach in our cossies!!! We wore summer skirts, T shirts and a light cardigan in the daytime. Turkish neighbours thought we were bonkers though. Although my husband is happy to venture into the sea in winter, it is too cold for me. He goes in UK sea during the winter and says it is much warmer in Turkey. So I am taking a mixture of clothes
