Cigarettes

Hi everyone

Enjoying my stay in Marmaris. Actually walked from Marmaris to Icmeler along the sea front (Nice) and then over the mountain to Turunc (Torture) yesterday.

I don't smoke but I promised to take back 200 cigarettes for a friend so here's the question.

Should I buy in

1 - Local corner shop
2 - Kipa (tesco)
3 - Dalaman duty free
4 - Thomas Cook aeroplane

Choices, choices choices
Eliot

Re: Cigarettes

Well done on your walk. I feel breathless just thinking of it! It depends on what cigarettes your friend smokes. B&H and Lambert & Butler are only usually available in duty free at the airport. Marlborough are pretty much available anywhere. It is cheaper to buy at the airport as cigarettes here have increased in price over the last year or so. Also NEVER buy from a corner shop as sometimes they can be fake. I do know of someone who bought from a local corner shop and the fag almost exploded when she lit it!!! So my advice is buy from the airport duty free.

Re: Cigarettes

Airport is best bet, presuming you can convince them you ONLY want 200, they will try and sell you loads AND tell you it's legal.

Re: Cigarettes

Depends what cigarettes you want, do they sell them outside of the airport. My friend has always bought marlboro in the corner shop (they are not 100% same as the UK, she says they are american?), anyway she's never had a problem with fake cigarettes. Guess its luck!

Re: Cigarettes

Definately buy at airport as you will then get "the real thing" Also as previously said do not let them talk you in to buying more. You definately have a 200 limit per person

Re: Cigarettes

Thomas Cook do sell cigarettes. They always have an offer on - 400 for 42 available brands are Benson & Hedges Gold & Silver. Superkings Black and Silk Cut Purple. They might have gone up since last budget but are definitely cheaper than the Duty Free shops.
