Architect in Marmaris?

Has anyone had to deal with architects in the area? We now find that we need one and we have been quoted incredible prices to get a building licence through the belediye process. Any help or recommendations would be appreciated.

Re: Architects?

I have met people in Akyaka who have travelled miles to get there for the sole purpose of visiting Nurtan Onur who appears to be a renowned architect in the region.

Re: Architect in Marmaris?

I found this. It seems his son has "perfect" English and there is a contact address for him. So you could ask him how to proceed.

Re: Architect in Marmaris?

Thank you for the help. We did speak to the son, who told us that his father was not licenced to act in Marmaris! Another foible of the Turkish system, we have since discovered an architect has to be licenced to a particular area! We have since found someone in Marmaris who does not charge an arm and a leg! And he speaks extremely good English too :-)
