Where exactly is Turunc: is this the Marmaris area (I only guess this because of the forum we are in)? I am curious because the prices you quote are expensive compared to what I normally pay in Akbuk. While we are at it - any feedback from members about where they consider to be the cheapest cost of living in the Turkish Agean and Mediterrnean tourist areas?

Re: Cost of living

Yes Turunc is 30 mins drive from Marmaris, the bay after Icmeler. Some people I know said it was really expensive to live there in the winter as you are more isolated. There are no large supermarkets in Turunc. Well thats probably an advantage as well as a disadvantage! but the bar and restaurants can be greedy because of this off season.
