Earthquake in Marmaris
Just heard news that there has been an earthquake with epicentre in Marmaris - think it measured 2.8. Hope no-one hurt and that all TLF members there are ok.
Maria.

Re: Earthquake in Marmaris
washing machine on the spin can do more damage then a 2.8 which happens many times everyday all over Turkey and happens often in the UK.
There was a 5.2 in Balikesir today though.

Re: Earthquake in Marmaris
impossible if it was a 2.8. even if the center was in Marmaris you still wouldnt feel a 2.8

Re: Earthquake in Marmaris
I never felt it here, although I live in Gaziemir which is near the airport but a few months ago there was one in Buca, closer to downtown than Gaziemir and it was only about 3.0 but we felt it. It felt like an explosion had occured nearby.
