Re: Pregnant
Many congrats from me too!! A lot of people seem to go through their pregnancy here, but go to the UK for the birth. They seem to have a penchant for caesarians here!! Is your partner Turkish?

Re: Pregnant
Hi congratulations you must be so excited.
My son Cem was born at the Esnaf here in Fethiye. Both me and my husband are English we had been living here about 6 months when i found out i was pregnant. The care i received here was brilliant, off course we had to pay but it was not that dear considering the level of care i received. it was never suggested i would have caesarean and they naturally assumed i would have a natural birth. In the end Cem had different ideas and decided to kick and punch his way to freedom at 8 months and so an emergency cesarean was needed. The speed with which this was arranged at 11pm in the evening was amazing and the care given brilliant.
Cem had to be transferred to Shifa hospital in Izmir (? spelling hospital name) because he had breathing problems again this hospital was great.
If i have a second i would not consider returning to the UK for any part of the pregnancy or birth.
Cem is now almost 2 years he is up to date with all his injections etc which are given just like in the UK. He is a health, happy, slightly mad little monster.
Feel free to pm me or post here any question you want to ask.
