To answer your question , the point I was going to make was...a prior price much higher than the current price does not define a "bargain" in itself. It might suggest that someone(s) were in the past willing to overpay for something ,or at the individual level someone had bought something they did not or could not hold onto going forward. This is very typical of a 'boom' cycle.
However , for something like that to also be a "bargain" to a buyer it would in my view have to hold a 'value' that promised to be signifcantly higher in the future.Hence , was only temporarily depressed in price. My view of Turkish property is that it will not meet that test generally for longer than I would care to wait. I might also say that is a view that I have beyond just property in Turkey.
