KDV ( sales tax ) when you sell a house
Does anyone know if a company has to pay KDV ( sales tax ) when it sells a used property to an individual and if so, at what rate.

Re: KDV ( sales tax ) when you sell a house
If a company sells they have to pay KDV on the sale price which is 18% I think.

So if a company purchases a property for say £50,000 and sells at say £40,000, despite the fact the company has made a loss of £10,000 it still needs to pay kdv on £50,000? Thanks in advance. Helen

there are two transactions there so its not quite so simple as there is also a loss to take into account

Re: KDV ( sales tax ) when you sell a house
KDV is just VAT, it does not take into account your profit or loss, it's tax you have to charge on ANY sale.
Once you file your company accounts your profit or loss comes into play when working out if you need to pay any tax or not.
Having said that I recently learned that for a small property 65 sqm (I think) the KDV is only 1% and not 18% - unfortunately I can't find the details at the moment.
