German grand prix 2010

Today's race could have been exciting all the way to the end until the controversial move by Ferrari, who were very strong in the race, better than the Red Bulls as the race started. So why did they do it?!

What are your opinions?

Did anyone watch it?

Should there be team orders or should team mates be allowed to race each other as Vettel and Webber went head to head in the Turkish Grand prix (really eventful -will try and go one year!) resulting in them crashing out and losing points.

I think teams should be allowed to do what they like with their individual drivers. Formula One is a team sport and not about individual drivers.

I think they should have been disqualified and let our boys onto the podium

Not surprising considering Jean Todt (ex- CEO of Ferrari) is current president of the FIA!

Re: German grand prix 2010

Always happened, always will, Ferrari should be fined for being stupid and not doing their homework before the race if they want to " arrange things ".

I think Alonso is a fantastic driver, just cannot bear his being so sullen and curmudgeonly.

Guy must be a manic depressive.

Sincere apologies to all manic depressives for any offence, but you know you deserve it.

Steve.

Re: German grand prix 2010

Not suprising really Ferrari were not given any further punishment apart from the $100K fine in July at the FIA World Motor Sport Council meeting yesterday....

Ferrari avoid bigger punishment over team orders scandal - Motor Racing, Sport - The Independent

so just about keeping Alonso's championship hopes still in reach being in the top 5 with 6 races to go including this weekends race at Monza!

Championship as it stands (before the Italian Grand Prix due 12 Sept 2010)
1 Lewis Hamilton British McLaren-Mercedes 182
2 Mark Webber Australian RBR-Renault 179
3 Sebastian Vettel German RBR-Renault 151
4 Jenson Button British McLaren-Mercedes 147
5 Fernando Alonso Spanish Ferrari 141
