Re: Brazil F1 2012 FINAL!

Fantastic achievement at such a young age.

The weather kinda spoiled the event, but Button drove in his usual, super smooth way through the wet.

Nice to see Shuey letting Vettel go through unhindered in his last competitive race, as well.

Red Bull are going to take some shifting, next year.

Re: Brazil F1 2012 FINAL!

What a great race ,congrats to Seb for a great third championchip , kept his cool. Shame to see quick Nick boff Lewis out of a good chance of a win.

Fernando was valiant as ever , the Scuderia owe him a great deal.

Smashing for Felipe to answer the doubters.

Congrats to Jenson , cool hand Luke cashes in again.

I feel Mclaren , the Scuderia and Mercedes need a shake up.

Ross Brawn and Lewis , that has me salivating...

Wheels on fire.

Steve.

Coming from a family of F1 nutters, I really don't get it like some people don't football, rugby or cricket...but fair play to all that take part in this sport.......at least I can talk to my sister and nephew next weekend!

Re: Brazil F1 2012 FINAL!

A fitting end to one of the strangest seasons I can remember. Vettel has proved his mettle and shown that he has skill, determination and an ability to remain focused on the track and the chequered flag. Hamilton has had a disastrous year but I still feel despite his skill and ability he lacks maturity and I think his move to Mercedes bears this out. Good luck to him but I think he has made a rod for his own back. I don’t entirely disagree with his decision though as I think familiarity breads contempt and he and McLaren were starting to take each other for granted. I hope they put all their efforts into giving Button the car he deserves and spend this out season working on reliability.

Michael Schumacher, I’m not convinced that his return to F1 was wise or fair, he certainly has lost the credibility of his previous victories. He has also deprived apprentice drivers an opportunity to cut their teeth. During the early part of his comeback he demonstrated what an aggressive and potentially dangerous driver he was. He then proceeded to go the route of an aging rock star or over the hill thespian trying to do Shakespeare, making a laughing stock of himself. Then in his last race as if to prove that he was past it he pulled his final stunt. It seems that everyone thinks this was a magnanimous gesture on his part but in fact he was deliberately manipulating the race results. Worse still, it didn’t affect the championship result and in another sport it would be seen as match rigging. I am sure if Button had decided to counter the move by allowing Alonso to catch and pass him there would have been a massive outcry as the points difference would have meant that even if Vettel had have been able to move further forward he would still not have won the championship. But for Paul di Resta instigating the safety car we will never know what might have happened next.

Regardless of all my grizzling I still look forward to another season next year.
