Next week all UK mobiles will be on a directory meaning that
anyone will be able to get your number.
This will more than likely be used by commercial interests and you may receive unsolicited texts, messages and calls.
You can however have your number removed from this directory which incidentally, the BBC recommends in this article
here.
You really need to unsubscribe before the start of next week - you need to have your mobile phone with you to do this as they text you a code.

ps I've just seen that their website has been suspended whilst they make 'improvements'. I wonder if this is a crude attempt to stop people removing their numbers?
