Toilet seat-up or down?

several years ago my husband read somewhere about rats getting up through the drainpipe into the toilet. The seat has never been left up since!!! (and i don't care if it's true or not, for once i didn't argue!)
according to this report it's man's most annoying habit.

Re: Toilet seat-up or down?

Why do women complain so much about having the toilet seat up.What women only have to do is just put it down.Men never complain when they see the toilet seat down.."HEY DEAR",you left the toilet seat down again, which can turn into a drawn out argument and makes the desperste male totally plum forget why he had to go to the toilet in the first place, until he look down and see his trousers are wet which reminded him of the reason why he had to visit the room.

As for the rat..stick a cat in their to deter any rat from emerging around the bend..that should do it

Re: Toilet seat-up or down?

Women would have more to complain about if we left the seat down! :-)

Re: Toilet seat-up or down?

It's best to keep it down, as there is a place for your favourite drink whilst having a long soak in the tub.

Surprising the women did not think about that!!!

Re: Toilet seat-up or down?

i remember reading about a man who was sat on the throne and was bit by a snake that an owner had lost in the same apartment block. It came up through the sewer ......makes me shutter just the thought !

I always look in before I take the seat !!

Re: Toilet seat-up or down?

Our toilet seat is broke at the moment.
Still not fixed. Hmmm, another thread entirely I think, as it is the Sabbath - won't say any more. The fixer is sitting here on the sofa, hmmm watching the telly.

Re: Toilet seat-up or down?

There's an old saying my Nan always used to quote "if you leave the toilet seat up you'll never have any money in your household". Needless to say my toilet seat is always down...... but I've still got no money!!!!
