Thanks Mark but when I switch it on it starts off red then goes to flashing blue, only now and again it goes to green I just wondered if that means it's about to run out? I only topped it up on Tuesday.

Re: Avea Dongle help

It ıs red because the dongle ıs bootıng up.
When ıt ıs green you are able to connect to the net.
No ıdea about blue.

Blue its a weak signal

Re: Avea Dongle help

With a voice call with skype you get 60 min = 25.98MB,
but a video call is harder to say as there are lots of variables but roughly
it is about 3.5MB a minute and depending on the resolution of the camera could even be double that.

Thumbs up Re: Avea Dongle help

Hello,

I use a Turkish Vodafone mobile broadband dongle.
I can connect to 2G all the time ( with steady green light)
This is variable at best but does work with speeds at best upto 250 kbps but mostly much slower like 60 - 100 kbps. I have set to 2G only as it keeps jumping to 3G and i lose internet.

When i set to a faster 3G preferred or 3G only it connects and i get a steady blue light on the dongle but reception for this service is not at its best in Didim area.

Hope this helps.

Harry Crumb.

but no internet
