Getting Out of Sterling

We have spent some time discussing getting out of Lira - but what about Sterling? Following a parliamentary vote this week the prospect of a referendum on the EU in 2017 is looking more likely. With large numbers of Little Englanders, UKIPpers and other assorted numpties foaming at the mouth to vote for economic suicide they may get their wish. If so, the pound and the stock exchange will plummet. So we have three years where to put our retirement funds if we want to hang on to some of their value. Where will you go?

Re: Getting Out of Sterling

Do you really think that vote will ever happen? There will be some reason not to do it e.g. another coalition, Labour win, they will claim they have won the changes they wanted , so no point etc etc. They have only gone this far so as to show they are doing something in the face of UKIP - kicking a problem into the long grass is classic politics - and three years away is very long grass.

Re: Getting Out of Sterling

I would suggest the Aruban Florin, no one really cares about their currency its been very stable for years and the best bit its a beautiful island, outside the hurricane zone and a nice warm temperate for 12 months of the year. Mind you it costs a fortune to buy a place and cost of living is high!

Visied both there and nearby Curaçao and actually there were some " reasonably" priced places for sale. Total paradise

For a start, why bundle UKIP supporters with little Englanders and numpties?
You may have your view on UKIP, I have mine, no need for petty name calling is there?

Anyway, who is to say anybody will have any retirement funds left with the successive governments we've had , I should have had loads, but a certain Scottish idiot put paid to that (was he a little Englander or voted UKIP, NO just a numpty)
