Eurovision

I see Turkey decided not to enter this year, well just like the UK it won't have stood a chance as the entry from Austria surely must win:

Re: Eurovision

Not watched it but the wife called me in to see the person sing from Austria...........Austria are probably the only country in Europe who can afford to put it on next year. If Greece won it they would have to go to the IMF again.
Looking at the guy/gal I think we had him/her in our hotel for a stage do a few years back or someone similar.

Re: Eurovision

I felt sorry for the 17 year old twins, people booed their song these two young females are not responsible for Russian politics - sick people to boo them. People also booed every time Russia was given points.

Does anyone know why Turkey did not enter and also did not vote?

Re: Eurovision

I think I read somewhere that Turkey pulled out due to the political voting, perhaps a little too close to home.

Austria was a good winner last night.

We'll in true Tlf style I didn't even watch it but was outraged by the shows foreigners, Erdogan and lack of health insurance.

Unfortunate for the twins but people weren’t booing them, rather what they represented.

Just hope Putin got the message - would hurt him more than sanctions methinks.

And I doubt that Germany would have fared any better in 1939.
