Re: North Korea

Remember Desert Storm, Iwo Jima, the Normandy landings etc?

And - unless there is overwhelming numerical superiority or when casualties are of small regard - attack is always more hazardous than defence.

I doubt it. . . very much. . . .Trump would probably obliterate NK.
China is next door , Trump would face wmd from China if he went bananas and murdered Chinese citizens during his NK attacks .

So is Russia, can’t see them giving the thumbs up either.

Re: North Korea

By the same token I doubt Russia, China or Japan would be happy with a nuclear strike on SK.

But no need to ‘obliterate’ NK and millions of innocents – just take out the SPA (parliament), utilities, command HQ, Kim et al without nuclear & brace for an all out land attack on Seoul.

We must pray that Kim & Trump retain some degree of sanity.

Re: North Korea

Jaycey , NK command would be sunk so deep under the numerous mountain ranges .

I doubt we even know where they really are .

Munitions work on poorly constructed middle eastern facilities , often constructed with desert sand , which is totally useless , and are clearly visible above ground .

American aircraft borne munitions would have no effect on deep level facilities .

Re: North Korea

Very handy on a sunny day. No doubt , do you reckon the NK have any real air defence missile platforms that they may have gotten from the Chinese ?

B-52 can be hit with catapults they are so slow , b2's are a long way from Wightman , and can be tracked fully from satellites , their day is over too , for a country with Sino technological support .

I reckon a SR-71 Blackbird or B4 stealth bomber flying supersonic @ 60,000 feet would have a good chance of out flying any missile.

Otherwise there's still the parliament, utilities & Kim.

My concern is rather a massive land attack by NK in reprisal.

Re: North Korea

But they could not carry the huge bunker buster payload , never heard of a b4 and the 71 has not flown in service for nearly thirty years , but all delivery platforms are still trackable by satellite , and cannot fly there , too far .
