According to the application implemented by the signature of Bodrum Mayor Ahmet Aras, Bodrum was grouped as 'quiet zones' and 'entertainment zones'. Stating that they received over 1500 complaints in the 2019 season, Bodrum Municipality Deputy Mayor Tayfun Yılmaz says that they made this decision by discussing with the operators.

Gümüşlük and Bitez in the quiet zone

Yılmaz responds as to where the quiet area and the entertainment area are in Bodrum:

“The bars street in the center of Bodrum and the bars street in Gumbet are among the entertainment areas.

Gümüşlük and Bitez are in silent areas. ” Emphasizing that there is no such problem in hotels and marinas, Yılmaz said, “The hotels have closed areas and they are very sensitive about the sound as their customers will be disturbed.

There is no problem in marinas. Our goal is to meet expectations of those who want to have fun and those who seek silence in Bodrum.

Re: A positive story from Turkey

Any budding stars out there??? The Istanbul Ferry boats that criss cross the Bosphorus etc are looking for musicians to perform on the ferries.

The musicians who apply to make music on the ferries will have to appear before the jury tomorrow. The first group of 32 musicians will be heard by the jury from 10.00 in the training hall at Yeni Kadıköy Ferry Port.

The music on the ferries should start on Feb 24th .....I think its a great Idea.

City lines are looking for 'stars': Steamboat musicians to be chosen by jury
