It is also well known that a supplier, in this case, Russia, when you cut the gas to Europe by interfering with the flow through a transit country as happened in Ukraine your status can also be downgraded and changed to unreliable as happened in 2009, until you can prove the opposite to regain this status .... but you can lose it again just as quick.

but you seem to be comparing Russia who has shown to have been unreliable as shown in the 2009 decision in cutting its energy supply to Europe, against Countries who haven't that are running what is good for Europe (two choices to use if need be ) an alternative pipeline Trans-Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline (TANAP ) bypassing Russia ... or at least shown no evidence that they would threaten the energy supply.
Again a dispute with Ukraine, none payment, gas theft might have been the accusations.
I'm only guessing but it fits that Germany having a direct supply cuts out alleged theft & disputes over payments. with Ukraine. Germany needs that gas & TBF they're not interested with what Brussels or Trump says about it. They class it as a business venture & not an EU issue or any of their business. Juncker & co have tried to mediate over it but Germany are not even standing that.

Sorry to contradict Chips as you have put forward some fair points but you seem to have avoided showing the evidence or reason why you put Russia over the other countries from the Trans-Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline (TANAP )which will bypass Russia .. even though the EU had downgraded Russia before to unreliable status.

as Russia lost its reliable status for cutting gas to Europe

Russia no longer 'reliable' energy supplier

Russia has lost its status as a reliable energy supplier after cutting off gas to Europe, the International Energy Agency said.

I don't put Russia over other countries but Germany seems to be. What's more, Russia is not just involved in Russian territorial gas, its expertise is all over the world. If Germany thought it could do better, don't you think it would be doing just that?

Of course but they don't.........

You of all should know what's going on, Trump knows it, your own government knows it, the EU knows but as yet no sign of it being stopped.

Pointless writing a book about it because we already know the ending.

OMG it’s that time of night again!

Trump claims victory as Nato summit descends into mayhem

“Nato’s European leaders were left reeling after one of the most divisive summits in the organisation’s 69-year history, at which Donald Trump set a January deadline for them to increase defence spending and hinted that the US might quit the alliance if they failed to meet it.

While other Nato members treated his warnings as a bluff, they left the Brussels summit stunned at the end of two days of mayhem, almost all of it orchestrated by Trump.

In the final hours he again reduced the 29-member organisation, the most powerful military coalition in the world, to chaos. He turned up late for a meeting, ignored the issues on the table, demanded fresh talks and secured an emergency discussion on spending.

Afterwards, at a hastily convened press conference, Trump claimed he had emerged victorious, saying European leaders had caved in to his demands – something both the French and Germans later denied…

Russian Foreign Ministry Tweets NATO Criticism

“On Thursday, the Russian Foreign Ministry’s official Twitter account called NATO a “useless military bloc.” It also said that NATO officials at the summit taking place this week at its headquarters in Brussels were accusing Russia of “provocative activities.”…

Re: Nato

China, Russia, India etc make their own military decisions, they don't have over 30 partners who they have to debate it with. They order their forces into a conflict & they go.
NATO on the other hand needs multiple agreements to do that & it seems that it still remains in individual members hands as to getting involved or not.......or thats how I read it.
