Wales voted leave by 52.5%

Which I found odd as the Welsh got 4 BILLION pounds of EU funding in the last 18 years

These are some of the projects that were approved between 2007 and 2013:

Swansea University's new Bay Campus (£40 million)

The dualling of the Heads of the Valleys road (£79 million)

Town centre improvements in areas including Merthyr Tydfil, Pontypridd and Llanelli (£80 million)

The current batch of approved projects (for the period 2014-2020) runs to 60 pages . It includes money for these things:

A centre for high-end research in Swansea University (£31.1 million)

Cardiff University Brain Research and Imaging Centre (£16.2 million)

According to the Welsh Government , since 2007 EU projects have achieved the following:

Supported 229,110 people to gain qualifications

Helped 72,700 people into work

Created 36,970 (gross) jobs and 11,925 enterprises

There are also things like the Common Agricultural Policy, which provides around £200 million a year in single farm payments to more than 16,000 farms in Wales.

Those EU ba#tards did all that. We should take revenge.

I meen fancy wasting good money on the welsh
Of course you found it odd, because they don't share your view of someone who wants to remain.
Your very own County of Kent voted overall to leave, are they all wrong? Or should a County that voted remain have priority over a County that voted leave?

Now what part of that have I got wrong?

Thats the bit you got wrong

Directives can be implemented in many ways and some of those ways are not laws.

Regulations for example, are not laws

You can be in breach of a regulation without breaking a specific law

A code of practice could satisfy a directive, but its not a law.

Here's the little comparisons. A peoples vote is nothing more than a referendum, just a different name. An EU Directive is another word for law in the context that its currently being used in.

Its quite sad that I need to explain this twice but your totally wrong with regard to an EU directive

A "peoples vote" however is a referendum

The bit that some people try not to understand is a Peoples vote can be overturned by Parliament in a Soverign parliamentary democracy

It would be pretty outrageous but its perfectly legal under UK law

They also fail to understand that the result of a referendum is not set on stone. Just like the referendum to join the EU was successful, we then had a second referendum to leave the EU

We could easily have a third

What a strange thing to say?

England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales are very different to Kent.

For example we dont have a Kentish Parliament????

Sorry if thats a shock to you, but Kent is part of England And England for its sins, voted to leave.

However I can well understand Ireland and Scotland wanting to stay and as they have separate parliaments, they could do so by separating fully from the UK and staying in the EU.

Its what id want if I lived in either place. Why let the English drag us down with them?

Perhaps if we are faced with a hard border between England Scotland and Wales wed be a bit more sympathetic to the Irish border problem

I would advise the provinces to go their own way and stay in the EU. Cheaper for us English in the long run.

An EU Directive are orders to member states to implement said Directive.

Meaning of the word Directive...........instruction, direction, command, order etc

A third referendum? I pointed out to you before Chasey, you are on here saying referendums are wrong...........I agree if your on the losing side of said referendum, its like that on all voting on everything. Winners & seconds.

Re: BREXIT - What now ?

Chasey, if anything proves what an ill informed idiot is then that rant/defense post of yours is a shining example.

I wont enter into an argument with you neither because I can't be bothered spending the energy on you to be honest, your posts say more about you than I ever could. Get help, you need it with your obvious pathetic judgement on people who may have a different opinion than you; study what racist actually means and stands for then you may be enlightened and educated at the same time.

Why do I think you are a paid up member of the hate brigade? Hmm.

Very true Chasey BUT you seem to forget the actual PEOPLE who live in Kent and voted leave or don't they matter in your debate? People you've lived, worked & socialised with all your life. Must be terrible now knowing you've grown up with bigots & racists.

Brexiters who’ve spent over two years saying ‘you lost, get over it’ still waiting to discover what they’ve won

With Theresa May’s Brexit deal with the EU no closer to being agreed by parliament and many promises already broken, Brexiteers who’ve spent 30 months saying ‘you lost, get over it’ are still waiting to find out precisely what they’ve won.
