Re: BREXIT - What now ?

I have a dilemma coming up as I feel out of my comfort zone with the upcoming elections, so far had 6 or 7 leaflets through the door, there are upwards of 10 candidates on my ballot paper, but tonight I saw this,

You make it sound a so cosy, open & transparent, when in reality it's shrouded in secrecy.

"Access Info Europe, represented by the EU Public Interest Clinic and The Good Lobby, have been attempting to get the Council to release those assessments to help shed light on the selection process.

In 2015 the EU’s ombudsman, Emily O’Reilly, opened an investigation into the issue and concluded that the bloc should reconsider its disclosure policy “to be accountable to the citizens it serves”.

However, the council responded by releasing documents related to judicial appointments that campaigners say were so heavily redacted as to contain almost no useful information."

Re: BREXIT - What now ?

You make it into anything you want , but please do not misconstrue my post , my post is factual , temperate and specifically non emotional .

You are more than welcome to your opinion , please allow me mine without being misleading , your squeeze Yakkety Lemmon , clearly has much of an influence upon you , we should not be surprised that you try go misrepresent others so unpleasantly .

Poor show

Re: BREXIT - What now ?

Boris could face private prosecution over Brexit comments

Boris Johnson could be prosecuted privately for comments made in the run-up to the EU referendum.

Marcus Ball, 29, is bringing the private case against Mr Johnson for allegedly abusing public trust.

A judge has agreed to hold a public hearing on the matter, the campaigner has said.

Mr Ball alleges that the former foreign secretary committed misconduct in public office by endorsing and making statements which he knew to be false at a time when he was mayor of London and an MP.

The allegation relates to the much-trumpeted claim by the Vote Leave campaign that the UK sends £350 million a week to the European Union.

It was found to be misleading by the UK Statistics Authority.

A public hearing will take place at Westminster Magistrates' Court on May 23.

I reckon quite a few court cases could be laid on politicians over the referendum & the general election re verbal's/manifesto's . What they got elected on & then once elected what they actually voted for.
