Neither has Christine Lagarde, the court in this case isnt a court of law, worth reading up on who sits on it as well.

That is surely the question that should be asked of the court.

Her "simple negligence" was for failing to challenge a pay out of over £300 million to a friend of hers, you can label it how you like..............the French courts have put their own label on it, guilty. What's more, Lagarde is not challenging that verdict, perhaps you should advise her to do so.

I’ll do that right away.

Have I ever been guilty of negligence? No, not in a Court of Law but its not about me.

Did her negligence occur in a court of law? You’re obviously both guilty of negligence and should both be soundly smitten.

We're getting into a circular reference here - my original question was since when was negligence a criminal offence?

I just think you're trying to wriggle out of a sound smiting :)

Criminal negligence - definition of criminal negligence by The Free Dictionary

According to your definition criminal negligence is…

“criminal negligence - (law) recklessly acting without reasonable caution and putting another person at risk of injury or death (or failing to do something with the same consequences)”

Did Lagarde’s actions put another person at risk of injury or death?

Firstly, you have already stated there's no such charge as criminal negligence & secondly its not MY definition.

She was dealt with by her own elite people, how many bankers have you heard of who even get into a court over their iffy dealings?
Read the charge, then read the verdict, the only thing wrong was the sentence.......but that's to be expected because of who she is.

.

You say I said that there was no such thing as criminal negligence – I said that imo she wasn’t guilty of criminal negligence.

And you submitted the definition, now you say it wasn’t your definition
If I continue to read your posts I’m going to finish up as befuddled as you are :30:

OK Jaycey, all the media outlets got it wrong, she never faced criminal charges for negligence, she never got found guilty & she didn't state that she's not appealing the verdict.
There you go but when you burst out of your bubble read up on the case. Its been reported here in the UK, France & America, I'm surprised its not been in your news considering her involvement in your neck of the woods.

Is that supposed to be a reply to my #5008? :38:
