Of course , a lot of UK residents buy their cars , well worth investing in British workers , producing a British product.

Thanks and Toyota good on them.

The British worker was always shortchanged by British mis management and lack of investment.

The Foreign investors have a longer term vision.

And the British worker produces the goods.

"This summer they will pack up their house on the Wirral and take their daughter Josie and three cats to Germany"

The cats are going to take it to court, they don't want to go.

Well no-doubt at least it will free up another property for some deserving family and I'm quite sure they will all be missed apart from the cats no longer crapping on the neighbours gardens,

Re: BREXIT - What now ?

The BBC is under new leadership & has a new structure, with OFCOM gaining some of responsibilities previously held by 'The BBC Board'. What relevant qualifications, experience the newly appointed Chair has is somewhat of a mystery.......... Sir David Clementi (ex Deputy governor BOE):

"Sir David Clementi, Chairman of the BBC, said: “I’m delighted to have been able to put together such a talented board with a broad range of skills and experience who will be able to ensure the BBC remains a first class broadcaster.

“The Board will push the BBC to offer the highest quality, hold its executives to account on delivery, while protecting its independence to ensure licence fee payers get the very best programmes and services.”

"Notes to Editors

1: As agreed under the new Royal Charter, a unitary Board will replace the two-tier structure of the BBC Trust and the BBC’s Executive Board as the Corporation’s governing body from 3 April 2017."

One lucky recipient of a 'position' is Sir Nicholas Serota, who he, thought I, here's, who he.....

"The Daily Telegraph called the verdict "one of the most serious indictments of the running of one of the nation's major cultural institutions in living memory". In April 2008, Thomson started a petition on the Prime Minister's website against Serota's Tate directorship.[12]

In September 2016, the Tate announced that Serota would step down as director in 2017, and he would become director of the Arts Council England.[3] Serota was succeeded by Maria Balshaw."

"Reactions]

Serota has been criticised by Platform and Liberate Tate for inviting increased sponsorship of the Tate from BP. Their demands were supported by 8,000 Tate members and visitors, and artists including Conrad Atkinson.[14] When questioned about BP sponsorship during Deepwater Horizon oil spill, Serota responded "We all recognise they have a difficulty at the moment but you don't abandon your friends because they have what we consider to be a temporary difficulty."

When oh when will our so-called superiors Stop taking the P!!!!

PS: I've put this on the Brexit thread because the new boss says BBC reporting must be fairer & reflect Britain's actual position on Brexit, not what the re-mainers want to continue talking about.......

Pass the tin whistle after the port, old chap.............

Re: BREXIT - What now ?

Apologies for B-2-B folks.

Just for the hell of it I decided to goggle another couple of names on Aunty Beeb's new appointment list...

Anne Bulford: Pockets a £40,000 pay rise which raises her just above min wage to - £425,000 pa..............

BBC deputy director Anne Bulford sees her pay hit £435,000 | Daily Mail Online

Funny enough on the same page in the link above is another example of the type of person who does well in the BBC:

Charlotte Moore:

"It is not the first time Moore has stirred controversy. Last year, she was forced to quit her husband’s TV company over an ‘astonishing’ conflict of interests.

Moore spent the past nine years as company secretary of Perry Images, owned by her husband Johann Perry. The firm had profited handsomely from the BBC commissions, including some which Moore commissioned"

Ian Hargreaves; Sounds innocuous enough a University Professor? He's married to 'Adele Blakebrough CEO of the Social Business Trust, who appears to be rather better connected than her hubby in the world of Big buisiness............

"Social Business Trust was started in 2010 by Damon Buffini, founding partner of Permira, the global investment fund and Adele Blakebrough MBE, a leading social entrepreneur.

They share a belief in the importance of social enterprise in addressing society's problems and in the benefits that working in partnership with business can deliver."

Here are a few of the 'Social Business Trust's', Business Partner's: Are they thinking of Privatising Aunty Beeb, or just using her as a 'Megaphone'
