"We killed many soldiers by accident, but it's ok because of who they were", that dont do it for me.
What if they had been our troops fighting Daesh? we have a number out there.
I agree like most wars ...

I would feel remorse for the killing of any Coalition troops and complain like hell , but anyone who fights for Assad ,in my eyes is an enemy of the people the coalition is fighting for .

I wish it was only biased reporting ........ but ASSAD like his father is a killer

Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Syrian Arab Republic says otherwise.......

Re: Syria

But to tar all Syrian soldiers as murders and unworthy of life?Sure all parties in Syria have been brutal and guilty of crimes, but to blame everyone?
Our Army has just apologised for our troops beating and drowning an Iraqi teenager, are we, by Syrian logic, to tar all our troops as brutal killers? or will excuses suffice?

With the start of the Syrian conflict the people went on to the streets ,only to ask for reform , not even a regime change. Assads answer was to get his forces to fire onto peaceful demonstrators , when they still wern't cowered and still went to the streets , Assads answer was to have his forces to take thier kids and torture them to terrorize them to stop ,and has ever since.

If he had made reforms there would be no opposition parties to compare thier respective conduct.....

I don't Tar all Syrian soldiers . just the ones that chose to continue to fight for the ASSAD regime. THE FSA was originally made up of Syrian soldiers who decided not to kill the civilian opposition and deserted to make a Free Syrian ARMY ,others with different leanings joined the rebel forces .... They chose sides, the ones that continued to fight for ASSAD made a choice to , or were apathetic to thier peoples suffering and decided to continue to do his bidding even atrocities so became a target an enemy.

I don't believe torture to be endemic in the UK forces , but Assad forces terrorize daily and have killed more of thier own people than DAESH

If Assads men didn't I don't believe there would be people joining the indisciplined opposition force to compare .

If that was the case with the UK force they did on a daily basis instead of the rare occurences then yes then I would condemn them to....

But this is just one persons opinion, I am sure others have equally good ones that suit thier own views ..... Anyway the ceasefire is now over the bloodletting continues

Re: Syria

Of course it was a mistake but the families of those soldiers may well think differently & who could blame them? Its war & a bloody one at that.
Anyone with the attitude of, it was a mistake but a good mistake should have nothing to say if the same happens to any coalition forces.
Just goes to show though, modern day weapons, coordinators & pilots cant be Smart all the time.

Re: Syria

So we have had a period of 'ceasefire' painstakingly negotiated by UN/US/ Russia etc; while 'aid' was to be allowed in. Trucks waited at the Turkish borders for Arssad's permission to enter, only to be delayed until the end of the cf period because they couldn't get a piece of paper with a signature to authorise entry. Result, little if nothing got through.
What a shameful, cynical, piece of work and manipulative do nothingery. This man is beyond disgusting. Respect? World leader? He is not even respectable enough to be called a pariah. He is like a cat playing with an injured bird.
How does he sleep at night in his airy palace by the sea with his English wife beside him and their two sons tucked safe in bed??? Can she really enjoy her online shopping trips in Harrods while 'their' people are bombed to hell and back at his behest?
She should be stripped of her British status for a start. She is another disgrace.

It really doesn't matter who says, blames, or kills or shoots or otherwise destroys some other 'warrior/freedom fighter/terrorist. The whole situation is beyond control by anyone now.

The fact is that the ordinary Syrian people trapped in places like Alleppo are suffering. The children are suffering, but oh boy, are they learning; and you can be sure they will learn it well. Who will be teaching them?
What is the OT quote? Don't forget the Old Testament is common to Christian, Moslem, and Jewish teaching.
Ah, yes, '. . . the sins of the fathers shall be visited upon the children, even unto the third and fourth generation'.
As for those who are stirring up trouble on the sidelines, here's another one. 'Sow the wind and you will reap the whirlwind.'

UN Says 18 aid trucks hit in Syria...... this is why I shed no tears for the Assad forces.......

Aid trucks bombed in Aleppo airstrike killing 32.

An aid convoy has been targeted by Syrian government or Russian military aircraft, killing "at least 32 people," hours after a ceasefire came to an end.

Your quite correct, soldiers are not there to question the orders if they could then who knows, there might not be any wars.

Black hats and white hats it is then, when the USA coalition bomb another hospital will you feel the same about them or will you find an excuse for the dead?
There are no innocent aggressors in Syria, just excusers.

We have to disagree on this, of course I would condemn a bombing by the US on a hospital for what it would be a mistake , they don't go out to deliberately bomb hospitals I am not looking for an excuse.

The difference is the Syrian regime actually targets hospitals not mistakenly but as a strategy........ not bias reporting on this, from Amnesty INTL and UN ......

I have never said there is totally innocent aggressors in this war, is there ever in a war .
But most Western forces have a code of conduct , and yes on occasions it may break down but there is normally checks and balances so deliberate abusers are brought to face some kind of justice.... I admire this from these forces. This can't be said of Assad's forces......
