If Assad stepped forward now & consented to the pipeline that the Saudis & the West wanted, then rest assured those in Idlib would automatically become the Wests enemy.
Terrible situation...........

Unlikely... as Assad is in debt big time to his allies the payback will be the Russian and Iranian proposed pipeline route...
All the chemical technology and weaponry doesn't come cheap or without cost ...

Yeah I know its unlikely but lets be honest here, the US has pumped billions upon billions into the ME to get oil & gas pumped out. They could've bought the country & given every citizen a cay shop or a fruit n veg stall and saved a lot of lives.

Too late Chips.... the Russians and Iranians have already bought the country of transit Syria... with arms and support for Assad....
and instead of cay or veg shops being bought... they have played their part in the cause of a fleeing Syrian diaspora of 5.6mi that didn't head for refuge to Assad held areas ,but out of his reach in another country... also the 6.1 mil displacement within the country of which 3.5mil refugees at present are ready to flee the terror of Idlib because of the expected siege by Assad, Russia, and Iran ...

Oh I agree Syria has been bought but I tend to think the West put it up for sale in the first place. I don't think they expected Russia & Iran to turn up for the auction though.

Re: Syria
Anyone care to guess how many Countries have been using Syria as a practice ground for their armed forces? Start with the Southern hemisphere and Australia! but dont forget Saudi, Turkey USA, etc pouring the arms into the Rebels stores, there are no white hats in this shameful episode, they all lie and we all pretend to believe them to assuage our own consciences because deep down, we know it is all so wrong.
