I am with you DA on this one. As a life long Labour voter until 2015, I could very well be the first one in my family's history to vote Tory on 8/6.- depends on the manifesto of course.

Re: UK General Election June 8th

Tomorrow, Mrs May will need 434 votes – 104 more than the current number of Conservatives in Parliament – and so will require Labour backing, Corbayn has given his backing and instructed his MPs accordingly.

If one thing is shown from this it is that TM does listen. She was against Brexit, but she went with the mandate given to her. She was against an early election, she has now been persuaded.

I warm to her more and more to be honest, but it's still early days and I will make my final judgement on her three years from now, when I will be more knowledgeable of her performance and not using my crystal ball. Will I break a lifetime of not voting for any politician? No way, I still hate and distrust them.

Re: UK General Election June 8th

Shows she listens, lol love it!!!!

She is so out of touch she even said the other day that he UK is coming together!!!!!

Lol, this place in disarray ( as ever) Scotland wanting a referendum-she doesn't seem to listen then, lol- and England bitterly divided too re Brexit

It's a classic case of some marbles in the mouth out of her depth bint who doesn't know about anything that exists North of Watford

A vile lightweight who's only saving grace is she's destroying the UK

Re: UK General Election June 8th

The woman has played a blinder in my book, wrong footed all Parties (even her own in some respects). The attempts & threats by others to thwart the referendum result is or could just about to be put to bed, which includes the Lords.

Always said I would rather have people/politicans/business do U-turns if they think things are not going right.

I don't think the majority of Scots do want another referendum so soon, so again, I think she listens; she does not listen to wee krankie and her ilk obviously.

Re: UK General Election June 8th

So you reckon with 1 Mp out of 57 she has a right to govern Scotland????

As regards referendum-the Tories told the Scots one of the main reasons for voting No was to keep their place in the EU

Square that circle!!!!

That's a different and broader argument Phillip.

Lol

Knew you were on dodgy ground

She's so out of touch she knows nothing about how people think, feel live in Scotland or here. The electorate reflects the contempt for her and her cabal at the polls

Re: UK General Election June 8th

TM received her mandate through her party electing her, not the people. Now the people will give or deny her a mandate. I have a funny feeling she is going to get that mandate.

The problem as I see it is that when she gets her landslide it will be interpreted wrongly because the weak opposition will have given the Tories the overall majority and will prove my point further that Corbayn has damaged politics by not providing a credible opposition.

Once he resigns (as Foot did) then labour will hopefully come to its senses and build upon the failure to strengthen itself and be effective again.

I will add that my opposition to Corbyn is not as an MP, I for one will welcome his re-election as a MP, people such as he are needed in a democracy; it is his role as leader that I find a problem with, for the fact he has weakened the opposition and has caused damage within the labour party itself.

Labour did not need a divisive leader after Bliar, a leader is now needed to unite the party, and unfortunately that will not occur for at least a couple of months.

This election promises to be interesting on so many fronts because so much is happening with Brexit, Scotland and so forth. In fact, with the new pressie over the pond that honestly did come as a surprise to me and the referendum in Turkey, that did not come as a surprise to me, politics is warming up no end.
