Drug smuggler or Angel of mercy ?

In my view she has been pretty stupid but with well meant intentions, the Tramadol were not hers, a friend got them for her, that alone needs investigating. We just need Boris to put a "word" in for her now.
I feel she should have been deported by now, no more.

Agree with you Martin
Her Mum and sisters were on TV am a few days ago . Apparently the person who gave them to her got them on prescription but didn't need them anymore so gave them to her for her boyfriend
Crazy thing is, they are legal in the UK

Tramadol are imho wicked , they do relieve pain and calm the patient , they are very addictive , very quickly and have very pronounced side effects , but are very useful if used properly .

When a scrip is issued the dispensing chemist will verify (UK) your ident and you must double sign the scrip . The chemist will check that you are aware of the possible side effects.

The same happened to me in Bodrum with a scrip from the Ozel Hastane , i even had to produce passport , proof of address in Turkey and my mobile that they called immediately to confirm .

Unsupported possession in the UK is an offence , as is passing on in any way .

Uaually 120 is the largest quantity prescribed , but more can be supplied for specific patients.

They are worth 5 each and two taken in a certain way can give a great buzz , however the extended release are more difficult to abuse.

Overdose is treated with injected naloxone , as Tramadol is an opiate and ingestion with alcohol is serious if one is not used to ( dangerous ) .

I have been prescribed this stuff many times and each time it has taken me a month to break away from these " lazy boy " pills .

This woman is a drug smuggler , a danger to others and a serious example needs to be made , as should be the person who trafficked them to her .

I have taken these abroad , with a scrip copy , in the boxes , with the chemists prescribing label affixed .

Apologies for rant , these are serious meds and the woman needs to be stopped .

Steve, last week a friend died of cancer in the Bodrum Aci Badem, they wouldn't give him morphine despite his pleas as it is apparently banned in Turkey, I had no idea about that.

Very sad time.

Didn't know about that but it explains why I never got any real pain relief after the botched op on my wrist in Bodrum.

Never want to live through that pain again.
The correcting op in the Uk was a breeze thanks to Morphine.

I believe Tramadol is rarely diagnosed in the UK.

I once had liquid Tramadol given to me in France for yet another broken wrist.

The Consultant I saw in the Uk was aghast and joked about having a party with red wine.
He said, you won't get that here!

As said i was prescribed Tramadol by the cosultant in Bodrum Ozel Hastane , but it took a special coloured scrip to allow opiates to be prescribed .

Now you've stoked the memories.

Knew a lovely Dutch guy who always brought his extended family, often to Ali Baba.
They would sing and dance to the early hours and someone would always take him home.

Sadly I learnt of his passing a couple of years ago.

Happy days and lot's of memories.

Maybe I've missed your point but the mind is not exactly clear at the moment.

Will revisit tomorrow if Open Reach allows.

Had no phone line here for a week, then intermittent connection for the last few days.

This woman may not have known that Tramadol is illegal in Egypt, but her so-called "husband" - they have papers known locally as a"f**k licence" - certainly DID! I've been following the story, and still can't decide whether she is naive, not very bright, or a skilled liar???? Whichever, it's still a serious crime and ignorance is no defence.

I agree with Steve on the situation, the woman must know more than what is involved. though she does sound nave, her boyfriend would almost certainly know all about it.
One thing for sure we will never here the true story from the press.
