Of course its down to Trump, just like all the other atrocities of a similar nature that's happened..........before any of us had even heard of Trump.
Like nothing like this happened under the last four Presidents tenure, its a complete full blown American problem & it really matters not who is President.

I am not blaming Trump for past incidents and your statement that it matters not who is President is incorrect, because as I have pointed out if a President has full control of the House and the Senate then things Can get done.

America behaves like its still the wild west and that those with the money and the best guns are the only good people and yet they weep and wail when the obvious consequences of their shortcomings cost innocent lives.

This should not be a partisan issue.people who enable these incidents are just as guilty.

Both Democrats & Republicans have been it that position & done what exactly?
If people think that the American government can all of a sudden sort this issue out then I for one would like to know how? Confiscate all guns, stop the sale of them, stop the manufacturing...........the US is screwed on this issue.

It is not about the confiscation, the banning of all sales or the manufacture, its about having basic common sense laws in the light of still trying to keep the 2nd Amendment and to try and reduce needless killings.

Complaining that this incident shows mental health issues that evident in the Country and at the same time allow those with those same mental issues to have access to guns does not equate to common sense.

You make it all sound so simple, over 200 million guns on the streets of America, I would imagine whatever someone's health condition is one could be got if needed.

Not at all, we over most issues are in a position & capable of implementing them. I merely ask, what can America actually do? Many people buy or own guns & the "health issues" come later.

I remember the sainted Obama crying real tears on TV when he was talking about one of the many gun massacres in the US. And what did he do about American gun culture? Not a lot.

There seems to be two threads running about the shootings. This comment had already been made. Perhaps this thread could be combined with the original thread.

Re: More Shootings.

The bottom line on gun control in the US is it’s not going to happen. It’s not just the political influence of the NRA. The Americans themselves are unwilling to give up their “right to bear arms” I have argued this point on other forums. The average American simply does not feel entirely safe in their own country and to them a gun is a necessary evil, and all these atrocities is the price they are willing to pay. Getting them to admit this, or even acknowledge this might be the case however, is quite another matter.
