Re: Pensioner Stabs Intruder

Looks like not much has changed since the Tony Martin case. Reasonable force, is allowed for protecting yourself and property - is that enough these days?

the problem in the martin case was he shot one of them as he was trying to escape .
this is diff as according to the news the guy had a screwdriver and was attacking him in the kitchen .
sounds like he got the screwdriver off the intruder and turned it on him instead .He was prob a damn fit /strong 78 year old . They picked on the wrong oldie.

'reasonable force is allowed' Lawro. Not 'reasonable force, is allowed'.

You are just confusing us with your punctuation and grammar. I hope that you are learning though. Have you learned the difference between 'new' and 'knew' yet ? Have you learned what a sliotar is ?

This education stuff is doing my head in, I never wanted to be a teacher.

Re: Pensioner Stabs Intruder

Somethings amiss, virtually reported like an open & shut case but arrested on suspicion of murder...........maybe that's the law.

Re: Pensioner Stabs Intruder

I'd love to be on the jury if he's taken to trial, there's no way there would be a guilty verdict. If they're in your house uninvited and they get hurt the decision's obvious.

I think that that is how any reasonable person would view it. However these cases are decided on law and not emotions.

Studied your post and i am still trying to find the difference between 'reasonable force is allowed' and 'reasonable force, is allowed' Having a comer in the middle makes no difference to the meaning. Back to school for you it looks like!

It's called a 'comma' Lawro and not a 'comer'. Of course they are meant to be shoved in anywhere and have no significance.

You are too big a challenge Lawro, I will have to pass you over to someone else who may have more tolerance than I.
